www.mahalo.com Just weeks after the arrest of Russian spy Anna Chapman, reports surfaced of another possible Russian spy named "Anna". 24-year-old Anna Fermanova is a Latvian-born US citizen who is accused of trying to smuggle night vision goggles into Russia during a March 2010 flight. According to the ''New York Daily News,'' Fermanova was arrested in Dallas, Texas, on July 15 - shortly after returning from Moscow. She is charged with "knowingly and intentionally" trying to export "defense articles on the US Munitions list." Fermanova was stopped at New York's Kennedy Airport after immigration agents spotted high-tech night vision devices worth several thousand dollars in her luggage. Taking such devices out of the US is illegal, but Fermanova claims the scopes were for her "husband's hunting buddies" in Russia. Fermanova's Facebook page features revealing pictures of the 5'6", 135-pound blonde in sexy pirate costumes and sporting a skimpy bikini on the beach. She lists some of her interests as smiling, loving - and partying. Fermanova is currently under house arrest at her parent's home in Plano, Texas. She has a federal court date later this summer and if convicted could could face up to 10 years behind bars. According to CBS News, Fermanova's lawyer, Scott Palmer, denies that his client is a spy, claiming that the arrest is receiving undue attention because it happened so close to the uncovering of a real Russian spy ring. Woman held in US for trying to smuggle rifle sights

A 24-year old woman has been arrested in the US for allegedly trying to smuggle night-vision equipment out of the US in a case media have compared to the recent Russian spy scandal. The equipment was confiscated from Anna Fermanova, a US citizen born in Latvia, at New York's JFK airport by federal agents in March after a tip off. Such scopes require a federal license before they can be exported. Fermanova was detained as she returned to the US after spending four months in Russia. She has denied the charges, saying the scopes were for her husband to use when hunting.

Jodie Fisher has been identified as the woman who filed sexual harassment charges against Hurd. In a statement issued through her attorney, Gloria Allred, the 50-year-old Fisher says she never intended for Hurd to lose his job. She also says she and Hurd "never had an affair or intimate sexual relationship." According to the ''New York Daily News,'' Fisher worked as a marketing contractor for HP for two years, beginning in 2007. Her job primarily involved setting up executive events for the company. Fisher's sexual harassment claim led to an investigation. While the company did not find that Hurd violated HP's sexual harassment policy, it did determine that Hurd "falsified expense reports," specifically expenses related to dinners he had with Fisher. Hurd abruptly resigned as HP's CEO on August 6, 2010. Fisher said in her statement that she had resolved her claim with Hurd "privately, without litigation." She said she would not comment on the matter further. Jodie Fisher has worked as an actress in both television and films. In 2007, Fisher was a contestant on the NBC reality dating show ''Age of Love.'' The show featured women ages 21-48 vying for the affections of tennis star Mark Philippoussis.
