CNN/youtube Republican Debate was a success, over 5000 submitted questions. But there one that caught the eyes of the conservative right and cnn's main rival! Retired Brigader General Keith H. Kerr was one of the people who posted a youtube question to the Republican debate held in St. Petersburg, Florida. His question brought national attention due to his concerns over the "Don't Ask Don't Tell". This practice allows armed force members not to address their sexual orientation while serving duty. The media buzz woke the sleeping giant over at FOX News. The network ran a hit piece on Mr. Kerr and attacking Senator Hillary Clinton. FOX News and Inside Edition, both conservative media outlets published the story under the falsehood that Mr. Kerr is a member of Hillary Clinton campaign team. They also attack CNN and youtube over the controversy. Note: FOX News is jealous of CNN. They blew a chance to hold a youtube debate, and are mad that their biggest competitor won support of the biggest networking site. So what they do, blame Clinton! mccain volunteer arrested in race-baiting hoax

A mccain campaign volunteer fabricated a racially charged attack by a black man, but a day after the alleged incident was prominently featured by The Drudge Report with a large headline, the victim admitted the incident was a total hoax. A photo of the college students injuries showed a backwards B cut into her face during the Pittsburgh area incident. Heavy racial connotations were implied because the fictitious perpetrator was a tall black man and an Obama supporter motivated to punish her for being a mccain supporter. The prominence of AP, Drudge and FOX reports, ill-advised calls by both mccain and Palin to the non-victim, and comments by the mccain and Obama campaigns risked igniting the incident further because of racial and class tensions. The hoax now appears to be an insidious case of race baiting. Opinion/report based on several news sources including The Drudge Report, CNN, MSNBC, and the Washington Post.

John mccain's Pennsylvania communications director told reporters in the state an incendiary version of the hoax story about the attack on a mccain volunteer well before the facts of the case were known or established -- and even told reporters outright that the "B" carved into the victim's cheek stood for "Barack," according to multiple sources familiar with the discussions. John Verrilli, the news director for KDKA in Pittsburgh, told TPM Election Central that mccain's Pennsylvania campaign communications director gave one of his reporters a detailed version of the attack that included a claim that the alleged attacker said, "You're with the mccain campaign? I'm going to teach you a lesson." Verrilli also told TPM that the mccain spokesperson had claimed that the "B" stood for Barack. According to Verrilli, the spokesperson also told KDKA that Sarah Palin had called the victim of the alleged attack, who has since admitted the story was a hoax. The KDKA reporter had called mccain's campaign office for details after seeing the story -- sans details -- teased on Drudge. The mccain spokesperson's claims -- which came in the midst of extraordinary and heated conversations late yesterday between the mccain campaign, local TV stations, and the Obama camp, as the early version of the story rocketed around the political world -- is significant because it reveals a mccain official pushing a version of the story that was far more explosive than the available or confirmed facts ...
